Mazda In Transit

Tracking in-transit vehicles through the Mazda pipeline

Overview

Mazda wanted to introduce an In-Transit feature that gave customers and dealerships greater visibility into where vehicles were in the delivery process, helping keep potential buyers connected to available inventory.

The experience needed to work seamlessly across both MazdaUSA.com and local dealership sites. I identified the key moments in the customer journey where In-Transit information would be most valuable and designed responsive solutions across PLPs, PDPs, and other high-intent touchpoints for both mobile and desktop.

By making vehicle status clearer and surfacing it at the right moments, the experience helped users move more quickly from browsing to identifying and pursuing a specific vehicle—ultimately supporting faster conversion.

A priority-

While the In-Transit information was a priority for the client, it made the most sense to host it in the second module with the map and dealership information, rather than the first module for the primary MazdaUSA site.
